1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them and even managed to drive across raised room thresholds with no issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down stairs in a single pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.
The S1's docking station automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though it will differ based on how much you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. But, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an efficient solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply dragging a pad across the surface. Its navigation abilities are also quite good, though it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs around my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). The mopping capabilities are quite good as well, with a pair of spin mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to just dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that run across baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble it can navigate through narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is a great feature for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a thick margin around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app is streamlined user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also adjust the suction power, mop settings as well as view 2D and 3-D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. It also has a clever app that lets you select your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa power that can combat pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area rugs, but it couldn't clean up kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses an innovative mapping system that allows it to reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums are unable to. This device also collects more dust in the bin, which means you don't need to empty it as often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters that further lower the costs associated with using the device. The robot is also able to detect carpets and boost the suction when needed.
